Morning Ritual
Packaging illustration for coffee roastery Bloom's 'Morning Ritual' blend, made for Inkygoodness's 28-day packaging challenge.
OVERVIEW
Packaging illustration for 'Morning Ritual', a new blend from Melbourne-based coffee roastery Bloom, created for the Inkygoodness "28-day packaging challenge". The task was to design artwork for the blend, to be applied across Bloom's packaging.

THE BRIEF
The illustration needed to capture the quiet ritual of the morning cup and sit naturally across Bloom's packaging system, a single image with enough life to be cropped and reused without losing itself.
THE CONCEPT
The idea was to gather all the small things that make your morning coffee feel like magic: the quiet rituals, the warm light, the slow first moments, into a single image, so the whole best-start-of-the-day feeling lives in one drawing. I developed two directions for the bag: a warm orange route and a soft purple alternative, each carrying that ritual in a different mood.
THE OUTCOME
An illustration flexible enough to live well beyond the bag: it works as packaging, but could just as easily be painted on a wall or carried across other marketing. The orange direction was chosen as the final design; the purple alternative is shown below.
