OVERVIEW

A magazine cover created for a live brief set by Ferment Magazine’s lead designer, Adele Juraza, as part of Inkygoodness’ Make Your Mark bootcamp, capturing the slow, ritualistic side of Belgian beer tradition.

Process and development →

THE BRIEF

The live brief asked for a cover that carried the atmosphere of a centuries‑old brewing tradition, working to real magazine visual standards and format - artwork that could sit comfortably alongside the publication’s own editorial style.

THE CONCEPT

The cover composition layers brewing-house architecture, oak barrels and figures at work into a single deep amber field. I developed it from sketch through several colour directions before landing on the warm amber that carries the brewing-cellar mood.

THE OUTCOME

A finished cover that holds together as one amber world the reader steps into, produced to a live industry brief and mocked up on the magazine itself.
