Overview
A painting dedicated to the September harvest in Mezzocorona, when the apples and the grapes come in together. The lines float from one canvas to the next and bind the three panels into a single story: a place, and the people who work it all year round and finally pick what they have grown.
The idea
The colour moves across the triptych like the season itself, from the bright yellow of the apples to the deep, dark red of Teroldego, the local red wine. Each panel stands on its own, but only side by side does the harvest come to a close. Look closer and the rows start to hide things: hands, faces, small moments of the work tucked between the leaves.
