THE PIECE
Dogs, birds, foxes, deer, a snake and human faces are knotted together in pure black ink. Long curved strokes cut the sheet into shards, and each shard is filled with its own texture of hatching, scales, zigzags and dots. A pair of huge cat eyes watches from the top, and one small yellow eye is the only colour on the sheet.

THE idea
Intrico means tangle. The drawing has no background and no single subject: every outline is shared, so to follow one animal you have to walk through all the others. It was drawn on reclaimed paper, giving a second life to a sheet that was meant to be thrown away.
